Could I suggest that the B&F committee look at updating the lighting in the clubhouse restaurant and bar area.
The 1970’s wall lights are not very attractive or efficient, for a relatively small amount they could be updated with a more modern low voltage alternative. The spotlights also need replacing, again with low voltage/led alternatives, by replacing these lights the clubhouse would immediately get a new feel, without spending a fortune.
Very many thanks for your suggestion regarding lighting in the Bar and Clubhouse. Your proposal for modern low voltage lighting and renewal of the spotlights is well made and would undoubtedly refresh the brightness of the clubhouse. You may be aware that the B&F Committee have commissioned a full survey of the clubhouse to ascertain the likely repair and replacement needs for the near future and lighting will be part of the survey. Once we have received the results of the survey we will work on a capital work plan to address the expected essential works requirements. Once the essential works have been addressed, your suggested lighting improvements will be included both as an improvement and a spend to save measure once funds are available.
