COVID-19 Update

Social Distancing

The Club recognises that we have a social responsibility to protect and care for our Members, Staff and Visitors. To support the Government approach in limiting the gathering of people, we have decided that the Bar, Spike Bar & Restaurant Area will now be closed. Therefore, all social functions are cancelled until further notice. Members and Visitors will NOT be permitted to enter the upstairs area of the Clubhouse.

In view of the first floor closure, Catering will be available from the ground floor foyer between 10.30 and 14.30. Fayreways team will be providing a limited menu to include tea/coffee and a selection of hot and cold food. We want to assure all members that they will be operating to the government guidelines and to the highest hygiene standard.

The Clubs Pro Shop will be open as normal and Tim, Russ or Josh will be offering all usual services such as lessons, club repairs, custom fittings etc.

If you’re on the course please come and support the Caterers and Pro’s through this difficult period.

The Ground Floor Toilets and hand-washing facilities will be open to anyone playing golf. However, the changing area and showers will be closed. We would encourage Members to change shoes in the car park and not use the changing room facilities in the clubhouse.

Golf

At this stage we will continue to allow members to play ‘Social Golf’. THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME.  We are endeavouring to keep the Course Open.

In line with the Gloucester Golf Union, all Club competitions, Fixtures and Matches are postponed from today until further notice. In addition, the organisers of Roll-Ups and Fiddles need to ensure that groups of Members do not congregate around the first tee area. It is suggested that Members tee off as they arrive rather than wait to be grouped. The golf should be played in a way that discourages players from congregating together.

Normal tee allocation times for each Section will remain and Members are encouraged to continue to abide by them.

Greens

We have split our Greenkeepers into two teams, they will work separately to maintain the course and cutting regime. This will minimise the possibility of the Greens Staff all having to self-isolate.

Office

The Office will remain open, working in a limited capacity. Office staff will be working on a rota system from today to minimise the spread and possibility of all staff becoming ill at the same time. Also, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE OFFICE WILL NOT BE ACCESSIBLE TO MEMBERS.  Please call or email with any query.

PLEASE NOTE: In the event that the Government requires ALL businesses to close down for a period there will be NO access to the Clubhouse OR the Course. The club will not accept any liability for any member who ignores this notification.

We would like to thank you for your understanding and patience during this extremely challenging time.
